Buick was among the first models offered for sale by the newly organized General Motors and was marketed as both a higher end family vehicle as well as a businessmans personal vehicle. Many different models were publicly offered over the years by Buick and this particular model, the Electra 225 was produced for more than 30 years from 1959 through 1990. The Electra 225 was a higher end offering which could be obtained in
a two door, four door, convertible or a station wagon configuration. Until obtained recently this year, this 1973 Buick Electra 225 two door coupe was a one owner car, purchased locally from Bartlett Buick.
Babied and garaged its entire life, it is one of only 9,224 Electras produced in 1973. Having been driven only 10,559 miles during its fifty years of existence, the total yearly average mileage driven was 211 miles per year. The sleek body and chrome are all original and appear to be in showroom condition with absolutely no deterioration. Atop the Artic white factory paint is a jade green vinyl top in remarkable condition and matches perfectly with the jade green colored interior.
The engine compartment is clean and fresh. It houses a 455 cubic inch engine which has a four barrel carburetor and produces a respectable 250 horsepower and 500 foot pounds of torque.

We were contacted by the daughter of the longtime owner (51 years) who had the car stored in his brothers garage for well over 20 years. She was the executor of both her dad and her uncles estates and decided reluctantly, it was time to clean out the garage and sell his car.
When we first saw the car it was covered and resting on jack stands (see picture) and obviously, it did not run but that's okay because. IT WAS ALL THERE! We took the car off the jack stands and rolled it onto our tow-truck and went straight back to our shop where we immediately started working on it to try
and resurrect this old girl. A hot battery, some fresh fuel run off a can and a little prayer and she cranked right over and fired right up back to life! ITS ALIVE!
LET THE GAMES BEGIN! CHECK IT OUT!Needless to say, this car is in need of a cosmetic restoration. It looks pretty damn good from 10 feet away and the body is actually very solid and Yes, it does have some minor rust down low (bottom of fenders, rockers and quarters) but it really is not all that bad and in our minds it's a pretty easy fix. Under the car is impressively solid and completely original with only minimal surface rust. We pressure washed it clean to get 60 years of grease and grime off it and we figured that's probably
why it remained so solid anyway. the frame, floors and trunk are all in really good original condition.
The paint is old and stale and has chips and scratches but looks damn good from about 10 feet away. The chrome, trim, weatherstripping and glass are all there too and in decent condition but it is original and old and full of patina but again, it looks pretty damn good from about 10 feet away. The engine appears to be a CE (counter exchange) 327 c. i. 300 h. p. small block that now runs pretty good! This 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible was purchased in 2010 and went through a complete restoration that was finished in 2020.
Restoration involved replacement of body panels including cowl and floors, repainting, new interior, new top, all new wiring, new suspension, rebuilt engine and drivetrain. All areas of rust were repaired and the doors,
floor, valances, headlight housings, grill, bumpers, and exterior lights were replaced. The car is equipped with 16" American Racing wheels, power front disc brakes, Borgeson power steering, and electronic ignition system. The interior is black and white vinyl with front bench seal, GT style gauges, and wood rimmed steering wheel.
Engine was rebuilt and bored 0030" over with new pistons, camshaft, bearings and gaskets, and rebuilt cylinder heads.
