convertible boot cover, Jaeger and Lucas instrumentation, dual fender-mounted side mirrors, ventilation control, chrome bumpers, and 15 steel wheels with triumph center caps wrapped in Nexen tires measuring 165/80R15. 1966 Pontiac GTO.
Universal Muscle Cars is proud to offer! 1966 PONTIAC GTO " RESTO-MOD" NOTES THIS CAR IS IN OUR DETAIL SHOP BEING PREPPED FOR SALE. AS SOON AS IT IS COMPLETED WE WILL POST DETAILED PICTURES AND VIDEO. PLEASE CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION. THANK YOU!We just got in this absolutely gorgeous and very well done 1966 Pontiac
GTO " RESTO-MOD" I don't have a lot of information about its original restoration but i can tell you that it appears to have been " FRAME-OFF" restored and professionally done! It is very-very nice! CHECK IT OUT!First off, this is a real "242" GTO that is documented by P.
H. S. (PONTIAC HISTORICAL SERVICES) The body is super straight, solid and clean including the floors, trunk and frame. The floors are painted key-color to the car and the frame has been painted or power coated gloss black. The " Montereo Red" base/clear paint (original color) is slick and smooth and we just cut, buffed, polished and ceramic coated it to a deep luster and show car
shine! It also has all new chrome, trim and weather stripping too. The Red (original color) bucket seat interior was also completely restored new including the seats, carpets, door panels, headliner and dash pad too.
It has the rally gauge cluster that is fully functional that includes an in-dash tach and gauges and it also has a factory center console with a " Hurst" His-n-Hers shifter too. VERY-VERY COOL! Power comes from a strong running and good sounding 400 c. i. d. 4 bbl. engine and it is backed up with a TH-400 automatic transmission and a safe-t-trac rear with 3:08 gears. We were told all of this was rebuilt during it's extensive restoration. Other features include,
cold Classic Auto Air Conditioning, power steering using a quick ratio " Borgeson" gear box , a complete front & rear " UMI" suspension kit with tubular control arms up front and rear track control arms and sway bars, and " Viking" adjustable shocks.
It also has front power disc brakes, Flowmaster dual exhaust, Retro-sound stereo with front kick panel speakers and staggard 16" front & 17" rear polished American Racing Torq-Thrust II wheels w/Nitto tires and a whole lot more! This is one beautiful GTO that runs, drives and rides every bit as nice as it looks! NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!

Here is still another stunning classic example, a 1966 Pontiac GTO brought to you by Joe Basil Classics.
The Basil family has worked diligently to bring you fine new and used automobiles and excellence in service since 1951. Recently, we chose to expand into the classic car market and have constructed a beautiful building on Transit Rd. in Lancaster
Depew. There you can leisurely view our latest collection of classic vehicles year round in a comfortable climate-controlled environment. Pontiac entered the intermediate performance market officially in 1964 with the introduction of the GTO. The designation GTO was taken from the Italian 250 Ferrari GTO which stands for Gran Turismo Omologato, an Italian grand touring designation.
From 1964 through 1966 the GTO had a 389 cubic inch displacement with single or multiple carburetion options. Later years expanded to 400 cubic inch engines with ram air options. This 1966 GTO is among the finest examples we have seen in recent years. It is powered by a 335hp 389ci V8 engine which is backed
by a four speed standard transmission equipped with a Hurst shifter and a positraction rear end. The engine compartment is clean and encompasses the no power option, no nonsense high output engine.
Just a glance at the front of this car gives the immediate feel of performance with the mesh grill backing the classic running lights coupled just above with the tastefully crafted hood scoop. The bright red paint is in excellent condition as are all the body panels, showing factory correct original condition. All the chrome and bright work on this Goat (American slang adopted to describe a GTO) is also in great condition. The aftermarket chrome wheels and white letter tires are impressive
additions but for the purest, the standard factory mag wheels and red wall tires are also included with this sale.
A spare tire is also included in the trunk as is the factory jack and correct trunk floor mat. The simple yet attractive black vinyl interior includes inviting bucket seats, GTO markings on the door panels and dash as well as a tasteful woodgrain gauge, radio and control surround. Just ahead of the Hurst shifter, you find an aftermarket addition of temperature and oil pressure gauges, along with a well positioned tachometer. Once seated behind the wheel, the unmistakable feeling of muscle car power is undeniable. The 1966 model year is one of the most elegantly designed GTOs, and this particular one is no exception.
Come in and have a look at this and other stunning classics in our beautiful indoor display area. We promise you will love what you are about to see and will be very happy that you stopped in.
